Head of Global Packaging, Materials & Training,
Chemical Engineer graduate, Philippe started his career as a Food Scientist in the Nestlé Research Centre located in Lausanne (Switzerland). After 10 years, he moved within the same company to the very exciting area of packaging. During the next 20 years, Philippe has occupied a number of positions from operational responsibilities through to Innovation Packaging Manager. In 2007, Philippe spent a year in the Nestlé USA headquarters leading the implementation of the new Nestlé Packaging Safety Strategy. In 2008 he moved back to the corporate packaging department in the Nestlé worldwide headquarter based in Switzerland as Head of Packaging Material and Training.
Vice President, Industry Services for
Tom Egan is Vice President, Industry Services for PMMI. Tom focuses on technologies in support of PMMI’s PACK EXPO trade exhibitions, as well as conference programs to aid members’ business pursuits.
As staff liaison to multiple professional committees including OMAC, he is involved with technical and commercial issues of interest to all PMMI member companies. His team plans and organizes several PMMI packaging conferences on both packaging market trends and technical issues. These are integral elements of PMMI’s Education initiative for packaging operations professionals
Prior to joining PMMI, Tom was actively involved with packaging solutions firms including B-W Design Group and Shibuya Hoppmann, a supplier of automation machinery to pharmaceutical, food, beverage, personal care, and household care markets.
